Alaska's Wolf Man, The Revenant, I'm reading Empire of the Summer Moon right now... it's good, but hard to stop and pick back up, it's a good all day reader cause of all the characters and side stories to keep up with, American Buffalo

In the Heart of the Sea
Isaac's Storm (Gumbl3, being a Texan, you need to read this)
Endurance by Alfred Lansing

Crow Killer, American Serengeti, The River of Doubt, get into some Louis L'amour awesomeness, but I also love me some Mitch Rapp or Scot Harvath spy books too

Last Stand: George Bird Grinnell, the Battle to Save the Buffalo, and the Birth of the New West - Punke
- Just started this and can't put it down

Meat Eater: Adventures from the Life of an American Hunter - Rinella
- pretty easy read and entertaining

American Buffalo - Rinella
- as noted above it's a great book

A Handful of Hard Men: The SAS and the Battle for Rhodesia - Wessels
- Really cool book about the battle to save Rhodesia, spoiler....it didn't work but the Rhodesian SAS are bad mama jamas for sure - great read.

Flyboys: A True Story of Courage- Bradley
- Story of WW2 Fighter Pilots and their missions/struggles in the Pacific. Classic read.

Extreme Ownership: How U.S. Navy SEALs Lead and Win- Willink & Babin
- Really good book to get your butt in gear at work and life.

With the Old Breed: At Peleliu and Okinawa - E. B. Sledge
- One of the best books I've ever read. My grandfather fought in the Pacific. Made me really think about what he saw and never shared with us

I have enjoyed the Joe Pickett series by CJ Box. They are over the top game warden mysteries, but seem pretty well grounded for the most part.

The Tenth Legion (if your a Turkey Hunter)

Anything by Jon Gierach (if you like to fish)

Hunt High by Duncan Gilchrist

Awesome. I will download American Buffalo and all who wander are not lost (bird hunting book), That should keep me busy when Im sitting wallows and water in the afternoons. Thanks gents!

Sometimes a Great Notion by Ken Kesy - best book ever written except all the books written by Cormac McCarthy.
