I only run the hose from my bladder under the velcro strap to keep it from moving a kinking up. If that helps, I don't really know, but I definitely don't mess with using it for the bladder itself.

That's pretty smart!

I'm still tweaking my bladder hose route trying to find an optimal way to run it...

I just wanted to bump this again and say you kick ass.

What I ended up doing was running my bladder backwards, so the hose faces the bag instead of the frame. That was the hose runs really cleanly along the bag and is held in place by the velcro. Although I haven't put any miles on it it looks likes it's going to work super well..
