What are some good hand calls to check out? I would prefer to stay away from the bigger companies fox pro, primos etc etc.

I kill predators as part of my job and it’s my passion. I’m not on anyones pro staff and pay for everything I use. The best I’ve used are made by Travis Alzate of Coyote creek calls.

Coyotecreekcalls.com

Travis makes a great call I use his open reeds closed reeds and diaphragm. Affordable and work. The stirfry closer and pinoy Pieper CQ are money. The Black Death is great as well.

The easiest to use howler that I have used is made by Rocky Mountain calls called the dirty dawg. Easy to use and my favorite location howler.

My favorite for pup distress is one made by tony tebbe the TT mini super realistic pup distress that produces results.

For diaphragm calls besides Travis’s MFK makes some damn good ones. I have used several from other manufacturers but the coyote creek and MFK produces the best sounds (based on actually killing yotes and bobcats) that work.
