Recreational Property and Cabin upgrades??

I see from the "distance to cabin" thread, there are a lot of folks here who have recreational property. I have recently purchased what I plan to be a long term family property for hunting and recreation that I hope can be passed down. What I am hoping to gain are ideas and knowledge of what others have done to upgrade their properties. We have acreage up against NF and there s a small dry cabin, outhouse about 50yds from a year around creek.... no power. I plan to start by building a bathhouse and in general just want to se what others have done. Please feel free to post up pics and descriptions of what you have done to your place.....

The first thing we did was get gravity water to out camp/cabin site, then an outhouse, next an outdoor sink. From there it was a progression of adding solar panels, lights, picnic tables and finally a cabin.

Look into installing a hydraulic ram pump to bring creek water where you want it. No electricity needed

Yes it will be, was almost crispy a couple years ago but the fire stopped a mile away. I know its going to burn , just a question when. No fire insurance available out in that neck of the woods.

I'm worried about that also... doubt I'll be able to get fire insurance, like a company won't sell it on a floor plain..

Solar panels and batteries, relatively cheap and easy, so you can have some lights, refrigeration, etc.
