Removing Cheek Piece on KRG Bravo

I have Tikka SA with Sportsmatch TO84 rings holding NF SHV F1. I just moved it to a KRG Bravo stock. Scope just clears the barrel by a fraction of an inch. I thought I was going to have to abandon the Sportsmatch rings and go to a rail because my eye was above the eyepiece. I removed the cheek piece and everything lined up. I guess I am going to look for something thin to cover and keep dirt out of the top of the stock.
