so im looking at getting a new tripod, one of the tripods I looked at but thus far have disregarded, the load capacity says 3.3lbs, my scope weights 4lbs and manfrotto 494 is like 12oz......is it really a big deal? just curious, otherwise im looking at the next model up for another $50 with an 8lb load capacity

I like having the option of standing up with my tripod and I'm 6'2.....am thinking of this Velbon Ultra VOXi L Aluminum Tripod

essentially the same setup luke wrote his article on except a more expensive tripod for weight reasons....ive read some pretty good reviews on velbon stuff and it would be lighter than my current setup, slightly taller which is good, and more compact which is my main goal, my current tripod is 24" when not extended which i just dont care for.
