I just finished a video with a guy on TRACT's RESPONSE AR scope. He's been in law enforcement for about 13 years and had some interesting insights. I'm curious to see what you guys and gals think about an AR scope. The RESPONSE is really built for long-distance shooting either on an AR platform or .223 bolt action; not so much close-range tactical stuff. My question(s) is what do you prefer in an AR scope? Variable magnification or fixed power? BDC or dot reticle? Or would you prefer to mount it on a .223 rather than an AR?

Thanks in advance!

(PS here's the video just in case:

True 1x variable or as close as possible, illuminated dot reticle, easy throw from max to minimum magnification, I don't ever use anything in between on mine and none of the guys I train with do either.

The best 1x's I've used are the vipers and razors, and the price point I see your stuff coming in at It would have to be up to that quality. I like to run mine on 6x (maximum) and have a offset aimpoint comp m5 for easy transition.
