Hi all.

(Figures are in AUD).

I was intrigued when finding some cheap 1080HD eBay trail cameras for sale.

A few have asked me for my thoughts on them so have finally got around to doing a review. For the purposes of this review, I have compared the results (photos) to those taken by my Bushnell Trail Cam HD (retails anywhere from $250 up to $800!).

By far, the best feature of the Boblov is the 2 photos, 1 video mode. This does exactly what it sounds like. Here is a cool example:

Overall Thoughts
Regarding the Boblov, my thoughts are as follows:
Positives
- Cheap as chips (hurts less when they are stolen)
- Sensor seems to be as competitive as any other
- 2 Photo, 1 Video mode is brilliant

Negatives
- There are known defective products (but they seem to have been replaced promptly by the seller)
- Image quality
- Poor night flash reach
- Weird file formats, especially when uploading to the phone (e.g. in the video I made, there's missing parts of the photo and it was difficult to edit)

Clearly, the above show how superior the Bushnell images are to the Boblov's. In saying that, the Bushnell comes it at well over double to triple the price. The Boblovs will help you find game, but won't assist in prize winning photography.

If you're looking for an effective scouting trail camera but are scared of leaving $500 odd hanging in a tree in the middle of the bush, then check out these cams. I highly doubt you'll regret it (unless you get one of the dodgy ones).

Cheers,
Zubtec
