Hello all,

I have a Tikka T3x D18 that I am re-barreling. The barrel is at PAC-NOR currently, for them to match the profile.

Last night I was kind of bored, so I pulled the Accupoint 2.5-10x56 scope I am planning to put on the rifle off the rifle it was on. I used coins to figure out how high the rings would need to be to clear the top of the receiver of the T3x. I measured the height to be around .74" from the top of the dovetail to the bottom of the scope tube, for the 56mm objective to clear the receiver.

Now this isn't exact, as the objective will need to clear the barrel, not the receiver, and I don't have a barrel on it at the moment. I will have a little more room to work with, but it won't be that much. It seems to me that even the high rings from Talley and Sportsmatch are not going to be tall enough for this scope.

Are there extra high options that I am unaware of?
Should I expect to need to a pic rail to be able to use this scope?
Maybe I am bad at "the maths" or am missing something?

Thanks,
-pg
