Hey folks. The shooting day is happening on Saturday, March 29th.
If you are 100% committed to attending you must PM me with "I'm for sure coming" with your name and phone number. The shooting location and time information will be sent via group text. We will also be able to send a OnX location.
What is this?
A full field day practicing real world hunting shots in Arizona. Targets from 100 yards to well past 1,000 yards will be available. Tips and tricks for various field shooting positions, wind reading/calling, timed shots, and other valuable information will be shared. There is no pressure to shoot... Come hang out and help spot targets, hang new paper targets at the 100 yard sight in range, eat some venison and elk burgers, and enjoy good company.
Where will this be?
The closest city to the shooting location is Maricopa, AZ. About an hour from Phoenix and an hour and a half from Tucson. There will be camping available the night before. This information will come in the group text.
Who is invited?
Anyone who is willing to make the drive and wants to spend a full day in the field. Camping out on site the night before will be a good time too!
What do I need to bring?
Bring your rifle and backpack as if you were hunting. Feel free to bring multiple guns, but keep it to the guns you would use for hunting. Bring whatever "spotting optics" and mounting systems you'd use for hunting as well. Bring snacks if you'd like. Lunch and drinks will be provided. Some shots will be timed as a learning experience for folks interested so keep that in mind. Bring as much ammo as you'd like.
What Equipment is Available?
We will have guns and ammo available for folks to try. We will have at least 8 guns in Rokstoks and several of the Shoot2Hunt products to try out @Ryan Avery
We will also have some products from LS Wild for folks to try out, maybe even some new concept/unreleased items @hereinaz
Challenges:
We will run some timed drills for folks interested (no pressure to shoot these) and there will be some fun longer range "challenges" with prizes being offered. These prizes include 77 TMK ammo, a S2H/UM Mollinator Bag, and other prizes from some great Arizona based companies in LS Wild, Marsupial Gear, and Outdoorsmans.
Whether you want to just come and hang out and make some new buddies, or get competitive with the challenges and prizes, or just eat some venison and elk burgers and help out, it will be a fun opportunity to get outside!
