Rookie from North MS

Been reading here for a couple months, only been hunting a couple years now. All rifle hunting for whitetail and small game. All stalking/still-hunting. No tree stands for me. No bow yet. Been hiking and camping in the mountains near Bridgeport, CA a few times and I love the scenery compared to the thickets and swamps in Mississippi. Looking forward to planning a Elk or Mule deer hunt out west. Not new to shooting and camping, so maybe I can contribute in some places too.
