Rookie globe and peep question

I am wondering if the globe should appear just smaller than the view through the peep, so it can be centered? I can’t see any light around the front globe with the standard aperture. I am wondering if I should try the next size up.

This is the view I get from mine. It is the Williams western precision muzzle loader kit so I would assume it's how you'd want it. I get just a little light around my front globe

I think it can work any way. Your eye just naturally centers the cross hair in the middle of the peep with practice. At least not for the distances I normally shoot: out to 150 yards
