Rossi 50 cal. breech plug

I'm on the hunt for a breech plug for my old Rossi 50 cal. muzzleloader. Rossi/Braztech stopped manufacturing this gun years ago and thus factory replacement parts are not available.

Cheaply made muzzleloader but it holds sentimental value and made a lot of meat in my younger years. This will be a loaner/backup muzzleloader when I get it put back together.

I'm unsure of the exact dimensions of the plug but do know it's 5/8" diameter - 18 threads per inch.

Any leads would be greatly appreciated.

I quickly realized it was going to be near impossible to source a factory plug. Did some rummaging in the shop and found this CVA plug I got in an auction lot. Lucky for me it had the correct threads. Cut the thumb head off and went to work with a file. I was shooting for a 3/8" hex head, but it turned out to be 9mm, ha. Just need to drill the head out to 209 primer diameter now.

Finished product. Just a bit of polishing yet to do. Tested and functional.
