The anvil has a standard 3/8 threaded hole in the bottom. I ran it on a pig lite tripod for a year.

Now this is not ideal. The torque the rifle puts on the head will spin it off. That’s the reason rrs utilizes additional screws, or the taper to lock the head in place on their tripods. It’s usable with a bunch of loc tite. I’d recommend going right to an rrs tripod if you can. At the time I couldn’t and got by but it’s amazing the difference between the pig lite and an rrs that’s even lighter. I thought when I first got a decent tripod that there was no way I’d spend the money. Very worth it and one of my most used pieces of equipment now
