For sale is an original late 50s year model Sako-Mauser .300 H&H mag. From all the research I’ve done, Sako used Mauser actions before they came out with their own long action in the L61R model in 1961. The barrel is stamped .300 Magnum which was common back when the .300 H&H round was a more popular caliber. A bunch of these old rifles were rechambered to .300 WBY. This one WAS NOT.
Serial numbers are matching, it’s got a Leupold 3-9 on it, the wood is in great shape. Looking to get it into a new home to someone who appreciates it, I have no attachment to it and will never shoot it again. I have put 3 rounds through it and everything was flawless. My neighbor gave it to me for building a privacy fence for him.
Contact me with any questions or if you would like more pictures of anything, I’m located in Texas but travel regularly.
