Salt Lamp?

My wife has a salt lamp that has ran for the last 5 years and has given up the ghost, im thinking about putting it out as a salt lick, any potential problems with a salt lamp vs a licking block?
Yes ill knock the bottom off and remove the bulb, we dont need a Rudolf situation...

Should work better than a salt block. Salt block only provides minerals, salt lamp will provide spiritual nourishment and cleansing as well!

Salt lamp is not a rocket science its same like salt lick. Made up of some rock salt and shaped like a lamp. Here is an example Picked up from Google
