My neighbor and I went out on the quads in his pasture to check some snow melt and dugout water levels. While we were out we figured we would look for some sheds. We saw lots of deer out feeding but unfortunately the only thing we laid hands on was this guy.

He was tangeld up in the barbed wire fence and it looks like the coyotes went to town on him.

Being that this is definitley the biggest muley I've put hands on, my neighbor and I have a bit of a bet. Without going somewhere to get it scored, can someone recommend an easy to understand video or article for scoring?

So far, i've watched a couple and tried to follow the one eastmans put out and I think I did it right.

If I measured right, the inside spread is 22 4/8, the left beam is 22 4/8 and the right is 22

I have it tallied up with the measurements I took, but our guesses yesterday were way different.

Thanks for the help!
What would you guys guess him to be?

It would have been nice to see him during the season. Total guess but I am saying 178.

It would have been awesome to see him with a bow in my hand, we were looking through pictures and we found a couple taken through a spotting scope, but he was on the move and into other private land we don't have permission on.

For those of you who have been holding out. A couple of friends measured him as well as us and we all were between 171 and 173. None of us are pros by any stretch though

I got him cleaned up for a "birthday present" for the neighbors 10 year old son, he was very excited

At least there are some good deer in your area. Hopefully you see the bigger one this year.

Just Google boone and Crockett scoring sheet and print it off.
It will show you where to measure and lines to ad it up.
Suppose to use a 1/4" wide steel tape.
