For sale is my kid's compact savage 7mm-08 in camo pattern, with matching cabelas stock cover and sling. It has tasco 3-9×40 boresighted scope with flip open butler creek lens caps (this scope came with different rifle and the crosshairs didn't fall when I shot about a dozen rds with 150 grn corelokt for 30-06...who knew). I took off the Nikon which I switched on this earlier to put on my son's other rifle since he likes that scope. Rifle was bought in Nov 2019 from Cabelas. Bore is shiny and rifle is good as new in superb condition. Always cleaned and lubed after range session. It's a good economy class shooter. I have shot it at 250 yards with 1 inch groupings. My kid has taken shots upto 125 yards with same grouping. We have shot about 6-8 boxes (handloads included). My kid loved shooting it with Nosler 120grn Ballistic tips (4rds left in box) American White tail 129 grn (9 rds left in box), Core Lokts 140grn (2 rds left), and 150 grn eldx (8rds) as well...in the pic. It's a great shooter for kids who are starting at 11/12 yo age and can carry on till they can handle adult LOP size and also ladies/women of short stature. (My kid graduated to my Browning 30-06) This rifle has very light recoil with above said ammo. I also have 100 rds of Nosler 140 grn ballistic tips handloaded with 45.5 grn of IMR 4350 and CCI 200 primers. They fly at 2750 fps. Rifle is an overall rifle to harvest deer, bear, elk and anything in between. Specs below as per Savage.
