Been tinkering with this on my limited free time to keep my mind off other things in life and just about wrapped her up today. The stock is a take off my other model 16. I shortened it 4" total, flip flop recoil pad, slimmed down forearm and grip, and soldering iron stipling.
I originally purchased it during the cabelas sale to use as a ranch/truck gun but figured I'd play with it and it now weights 6 pounds 3 ounce with the talley mounts and vx2 2-7x33. My dad has shot it a few times and says accuracy is great . I ran out of my preferred powder for my primary hunting rifle so this will be going along on my first rifle tag of the season next week shooting the hornady America whitetail 129 spbt

Future plans are a different bolt knob and I'll be doing some handloading with 120 copper loads other than that she is ready to go

I keep searching but can't see the mention of the caliber. 7mm08 or 6.5cm?

was there something wrong with the stock that it came with ?

No I just had the other one laying around And figured Idtear into it vs the brand new untouched stock. Now it's lighter, Fits my hands better, and looks more balanced with the short barrel
