Schnee's Divide Mid

Looking for any feedback on this boot. I'm looking to replace a 15 year old pair of Vasque Sundowners. I'm considering this boot for that job. I will be using it for an all arounder. Hiking & backpacking in the Ozarks. May run it in Colorado for a backpack bear hunt in Sept.

Let me start by saying that I have the Schnee Timberline and love it. Favorite boot ever. I wanted a 6" boot so the Divide Mid was the perfect choice. It did not fit the same way the Timberline does and I was told the DM is built on a different last.

I found it to be shorter and more narrow than the Timberline, which fits me perfectly in size 10 1/2. I then ordered a DM in size 11. It still didn't feel roomy enough to me. I wanted to love it but couldn't get it to fit but never did try the wide version of the boot.

I may try the Schnee Kestrel the next time it goes on sale. It is a 6" boot as well.
