Hello friends. Looking for an education on hiring horses. Looking to purchase an OTC bison tag for UT. Never hunted via a drop hunt. What questions should a guy ask when interviewing a cowboy( lack of a better term) when looking for horses to help get meat off the mountain? What makes one outfit worth the money and another one not? What's a fair price? Very prideful on the diy public lands hunt but don't want to lose meat. Appreciate any help yall willing to offer up. Really it doesn’t matter if you shoot one in that outfitters permit, no one else can legally be paid to pack it out for you…. So you better have some good buddies that will pack for free or not hunt the area of an outfitter you don’t like.
