I would say this deer is probably into the 170s and I agree that he does look very much like a 3 yr old...it is hard to tell with the limited pics but I would say no more than 4 for sure. Whether to go for him or not depends on your standards and risking what might happen to him this year from surrounding hunters...he could blow up even more in the future!

I really wont know until I get my eyes on him. If he can survive the 2 gun seasons, then its easy sailing since I am the only guy that bowhunts out there. There is a good size chunk of the woods that i never go into just to give em a sanctuary. Would like to give him another year if I could

Hard to judge without seeing spread. Has mass, and as others have pointed out he's a shooter!

Honestly with deer like that what does a number really mean? He’s a shooter. Good luck

I am trying to do my best to manage the bucks on the property and the last thing I want to do it shoot a 160 class 3-4 year old if I can let him grow another year. One more year to let him pass on those great genes so my boys can shoot mature deer.

Yeah he is somewhere around 4.5. I’d let him walk another year if you arent worried to much about other hunting pressure. From my rough calculation he is ~45-55” on the top and ~105-110” on the bottom. Great young deer!

Some deer just don’t have it to be a “160”s type of deer. (Although that deer most likely does.) So before something happens to that deer, knock him over. Your son would (should) be very happy to have him. I feel like there to much emphasis put on a number. My daughter shot an 8pt that was 6 1/2 years old. I sent a tooth in after our taxidermist recommended we do so when we showed him the skull. This deer was bigger at the previous 2 seasons. We have pics and sheds. My kids know that if I say the numbers 4 1/2 while looking through pictures, that means if we see him he’s in trouble.

Pulled cards on another camera and he is definitely posing, he is finally showing up during shooting hours. By the looks of his body, he is at least 4.5. If he shows up tomorrow with this major cold front, he is in trouble.

Really nice deer. I would say at least 4.5, and he'll push over 170 gross for sure. I shot a similar buck, but only a 10 point and he grossed at 162. This one is wider and has more points.

I don't think he scores as high as most on here think. I think he's closer to 150 than 160 his tines are fairly short and mass is average at best. I'm pretty sure he's young and a year or two away from really taking off. If you like him shoot him, I'd be in that 1% that would pass believe it or not.

Saw him tonight chasing does 100 yards from my stand. Not sure if it’s angle of the camera but seeing him on the hoof makes a difference. He is way past his ears and tall. Big body to boot, 4.5 years plus. I will put him down given the chance.
