Seeing barrel tip through the scope

I can see the tip of my barrel through my scope when it's on 2x power. I put a set of rings on that were a little higher, and it went away but now the scope is a little higher off the barrel (approx 1/4")

I would like the scope to be as low as possible, but seeing the barrel tip is kind of annoying too. Is it worth just getting used to seeing it and have the scope be 1/4" lower? Or is 1/4" negligible when it comes to scope height?

If it bugs you enough and you raise it you can always get a neoprene comb raising kit with different pad thicknesses. Cuts down on felt recoil too. I use them on a couple of different rifles to get proper cheek weld and eye alignment.

Mount for a comfortable, repeatable cheek weld. I can see my barrel on my 10/22 through my Z6 1.7-10x42 up to about 3x. Wouldn't even consider raising it. It's not like the barrel is obscuring the useful part of your FOV.
