After reading everyone's comments I want to jump in and play a little. My biggest question is when you sell something do you get any paperwork that shows how much you made or lost? I'm worried that I won't follow along enough that when tax time comes up I won't know what I have gained (that's the dream right).

So does Webull, Robinhood, etc give you documents to use on your tax return, or how does that work.

Thanks

Yes but it's definitely smart to do some tax planning as the year goes along. You can really get into a pinch if you make some decent money in the market and don't have money set aside to cover the taxes.
