Its hard to know what its like in that country after dark until you've done it. Theres not really any landmarks to keep you on the right path and most of the work consists of finding ways to get around cliffs while only being able to see 50 yards ahead of you. You go one way for half a mile only to turn back around and go another way. I sure do love all of that topography though. You could glass an area for days and not see all the animals out there no matter how well you think you covered it.

Headlamping it in new country on a moonless night with a full pack, getting cliffed out, cramping up, is what makes it fun.......when you look back on it lol.
