thats a lot of glass for an area where you cannot see more than 50 feet in any direction :)

i know it is different in some areas up high... so i am only sort of kidding. I am curious how much use you actually go out of the spotting scope.

I glass all day and use the spotter all the time. I usually glass areas that are from a few hundred yards to a a couple miles. I wouldn’t go into the Alps without a spotter.

yah once you get up high where the trees are thinner i can certainly see it being effective. The biggest problem i have with a spotting scope up in those elevations though is it allows me to see into areas that there is no way in hell i could get to. :)

I will be back there in a few weeks to look for him. I will give him a week after the opener to settle down and then hopefully make a mistake with me nearby.
