Next weekend my wife and I are going to be traveling to Central CA, in the Porterville/Visalia area. I was just wondering if some of you local guys, or anyone who might be familiar with the area, could tell me how much snow I could expect in the Johnsondale, CA area, and if it would be feasible to plan a few day hikes in the lower country. We are also wanting to see the Seven Teacups on the Kern River, but I didn't know how much snow would impact us there as well. If you guys have any other winter time activities to do in the mountains, besides the obvious skiing type activities, I would love to hear about them! Thanks.
