Long story short, had nerve pinched in my shoulder, went to the doctor but they never recommended any PT. Anybody got any exercises or workouts to increase my strength/stability?

Standing overhead press with full extension at the top of the press (I.e. a “shrug” which will strengthen the rotator cuff) is the best exercise in existence for shoulder health and has the added benefit of being a full body exercise since it is performed standing and the back, glutes and abdominal muscles must work overtime to Protect the spine.

I’ve used Turkish get ups to rehab and prehab my shoulders for years. Works well for me.
Get-ups are one of the best exercises out there pretty much regardless of sport/activity you're training for. Whole entire programs are based simply around those and kettle swings.

Here’s a great view on stability vs strength for training the shoulders. Super-basic, but super beneficial. It’s more rotator cuff-centric, but the principles could fit anywhere.
