That's good info. would you opt out of the tipi if you were going into wetter snowier conditions and only run this is in dry conditions? Do you think a borah bivy would work well for this shelter in wet conditions with a down bag?
I bought this shelter specifically for late season hunts in the intermountain west that are likely to be snowy. The thing about the intermountain west is that even while snowing, the humidity is still pretty low. Once the sun comes out, things melt/dry pretty rapidly. If you're able to find enough dry wood to maintain a fire in the stove, this tipi will be great for late season snow and will work with a down bag.

I wouldn't choose this tipi and a down bag for a place like coastal Alaska. It's too wet, humidity is too high, and the sun sometimes won't come out for days at a time. I think you'd be in trouble even putting your down bag in a bivy.

Anyone know if the specs of the Kifaru and Seek outside 8 man are the same? Picked up a used Kifaru but I’d like to get a seek half nest
