Hey Roksliders!

I just arrived in ND for the first leg of a 3600 mile, three-state hunting trip. First up my best friend Rob, my Dad, and I all have buck tags for ND. The second leg will be back in WA for my son's youth cow tag. Then I'll finish up with Robby and the Averys as Tanya and I hunt mule deer in ID.

I'll try to post updates as often as possible so stay tuned!

We made it to a nice bluff overlooking a flat and creek bottom. Watching a couple groups of does but no bucks spotted so far. It's windy of course....

Lots of glassing tonight.

Finally found a small buck. He hung out a while but not what we're looking for.

And that's a wrap for the day. Back at it tomorrow.

We split up today. My brother and nephew drove up last night and are hunting with my dad. Sounds like they may have had some luck this morning.

Rob and I hiked a mile and a half into a roadless area and are glassing from a windy ridge. We've seen ten coyotes and tons of deer but only a couple really little bucks. Hopefully the magic hour is good to us tonight.

Long day in the hills yesterday. Rob and I struck out but my dad is on the board with a nice buck. Best part is that he killed it with my brother Branden and nephew Kohl by his side.

Rob glassing at first light.

A few does and fawns hitting a waterhole.

My dad and brother with his buck. He made a great one shot kill at 435yds with his Tikka 7mm and Javelin bipod.

Branden, Rob, and I hiked into a big roadless area in the dark this morning and spotted a decent buck about a mile away. We watched him move into a tree patch and assumed he bedded in there. We are at 400 yds right now waiting to see if he is still there and will present a shot.
