Skre Hardscrabble jacket in rain

Like the title says, I wondering how the Hardscrabble jacket holds up in rain? Trying not to pack too much stuff on the trip so looking for a good dual purpose jacket.

It's treated with water repellant, not waterproof so a decent amount of rain will soak it through. It's a layering piece, not a rain jacket.

No, and make that a Hard No! It will standup in a brief sprinkle, but if it is raining, you will want something else. I was absolutely drenched in Newfoundland when we got caught in a rain storm. As soon as I got home I bought myself a Nemo Set so I would be prepared if I was in the same situation again. Don't take this as a slight to the product though. Love my Hardscrabble Jacket and Pants when the conditions allow.
