Ventral view of the upper skull of the opossum. Same tooth formula. Looks like a match.

That's it!! Thanks to everyone for all of the help. It's been fun watching the thread. Anyone else have a mystery skull?

Found this one under our old house. Does it count? 😊

Seriously, once you find more than 3 incisors per side you can bet it's a Virginia Opossum, except for the unlikely case that it is from a non-native species. No other North American mammals have more than three incisors per side.
