Anyone had both? I see the main differences:

633 - 3 leg sections
634 - 4 leg sections

633 - 48.8” max without center post
634 - 52.2” max without center post

633 - 21.3” collapsed length
634 - 18.7” collapsed length

633 - 2.1 lbs
634 - 2.0 lbs

633 - $197 on Amazon
634 - $249 on Amazon

Both would work standing for me which I was I’m looking for. BUT, which is more stable? Price goes to the 633, collapsed length and weight to the 634 (but maybe negligibly so?). I would think less leg sections and the lowest leg being thicker would make the 633 more stable, but it would also require using ~3.5” more of the center column than the 634 at standing height.

I have the 634. Love it but I wish I would of gone with the 624 that S & S Archery sells. Now they have a 632 which seems like a sturdier option.

I think I’m going to go 634, I have a swaro sts 65mm. Trying to decide on pan head now, I do plan on running it fully extended sometimes

I have the Sirui VA5 fluid head and like it. I got my hands on the Wiser Precision Nighthawk earlier this week and it was extremely smooth and only 6oz.

Was it able to hold a spotter up to 65mm no issues?

Just remove the lower two leg sections on your 634 and put a cap over the threads. You should be pretty close to having the same function as the 632, and if you want to go back to a taller tripod you have the parts on hand. Pretty simple, just be careful that you don't lose or damage the little shim stops.

If nothing else, you can try it out and see if a 632 is what you really want.
