Sling swivel stud broke

So I was shooting my savage ultralite today, and I put my bipod on for a couple shots. First shot was normal, then when I took my second shot the bipod fell off the rifle. It sheared the first 1/8” of threads off the swivel stud. So the part of the stud that’s deepest in the stock. I’m pretty sure the threads are still stuck in the hole because I can see some shiny metal.
I tried to screw another one in but since the old threads are still in the hole, it won’t bite.
Any ideas of what to do?
I’m going to contact savage tomorrow to see what I should do. I don’t want to have to send it in because I’ll be hunting first rifle in Colorado for elk and I doubt I’ll have it back by then.

Just YouTube removing a broken bolt. Plenty of methods and tools you can use to help with that.

Take the action out of the stock, likely the stud is through the stock - either into a nut if its machine threads, or just bare threads sticking up if its a wood type screw. If so, you can probably grab it with vise grips and twist it out.

Similar to what ChrisAU said, take the action out of the stock. If the stud is into a 'nut', you may have to drill it out. If you ruin the threads, it's still an easy fix to install a complete new unit.

So I have an update.
I took the stock off and found a chunk of threads from the sling stud, stuck in the nut in the stock. It seems like the threaded part of the stud is like a separate sleeve that is somehow bonded to the main body of the stud.
My problem is now, the nut doesn’t lock into place in the stock. It’s a round nut in a round hole. My thought is to JB weld (or something) the nut in place in the stock so that I can actually tighten and use a new sling stud. I may call savage and see what they suggest. But is there anything else I should consider?

Update: Savage is going to send a new stock. So I’m just gonna find a way to secure the nut for my Colorado trip. If it works I may even drop my 25-06 into the new stock
