Looks like SKJ jumped into the tipi world.I saw a picture on Instagram of a tipi in the background and i was curious about it,found some pictures and a video, they named it the Outpost 4,not on their website yet so no more infos,i will keep an eye open for the specs/weight and what type of fabric.Tape seams are great,no need to use silnet,on bigger shelters is about 1h-2h you'll never get back for a seal seam job.
Always be a fan of kryptek and they have the tipi in kryptek Highlander pattern,no need but its cool and i like it.Nothing new here, this is just another tipi on the market, vent, one door zipper,no stove jack for what i see yet(easy to sew one).

Tagged. I'm inches away from pulling the trigger on another option. I'll be interested to see how this compares spec wise.

Its a little more weight than i thought but for the Price and the shelter is tape seal its pretty good,a diy stove jack and this thing is good to go.

Absolutely the best price I've seen for what it is even compared to the other imports. It has pretty good specs for a large tipi (comparing to the SO 4 man). Just more tent then I want for a solo run. Hopefully they'll come out with a mini.

Got mine last week. Ordered a diy luxe stove jack and stove yesterday for it. I was back and forth between the 4 person tipi and the Redcliffe from SO for a year until I saw this pop up... Absolutely crazy deal for what it is. Couldn’t be more excited to get out with it. Everything I’ve purchased from Sumberjack has been top quality. I own their In-Season 2, a tarp, a sleeping bag and a pack. More people need to start taking advantage of their good quality products that are usually half the price for the same thing elsewhere!

I was way more interested in them til I saw how much they weigh. I don't want to pack a shelter that heavy very far, split amongst 2 or 3 people that's doable, but with a stove setup that gets heavy quick. I was hoping it was going to fall in that 2-2.5lb range, not 4.5lb without a jack. Still a pretty decent looking option, and SJK has way better CS than Luxe does. Hell, if they've got any at all it's better than Luxe lol.

Good looking set up. Their website states the dimensions at 155"x155"x78" which is massive. Can you confirm these dimensions next time you have it set up? Do you plan on using it with a nest, if so which one did you choose?

I picked one up to test out. It's a great deal for what you get. Ill see how it holds up this season.
The slumberjack has alot more room than my hyperlite ultimid 4 ( which leaks btw ) and my kifaru tut. I'm 6'4 and this fit me and my dog on one side of the tent with excellent room around us.
Factory taped, ( usually a $100 option from bigger names ) . Line and line locks are installed. Weight is as advertised.
The aluminum pole is non adjustable and the material is shiny but for the cost it's hard to beat.
You can take this tent straight from the box and set it up with no prep.

I know they are calling this a 4, but just looking at the specs it's the same size as other manufacturers 6 man.

I picked one up a few weeks ago and also bought a stove jack for it. While I don’t love the fact it’s 4.5 lbs, it’s around the same weight as a Redcliff and a touch larger. Think it will be plenty roomy and suitable for 2-3 people. It’s pretty big. So far, happy with it. I’ll test it more this summer and it will be going with me on a mule deer hunt this fall.

I just bought one as well and I feel that it’s much smaller than a redcliff. I borrowed a redcliff from a buddy and set it up in my yard and it’s significantly larger than the outpost. SJK lists the outpost as having more square feet but I’m not sure how they came up with that number. We m going to return or sell the outpost just due to it being too small. It’s a nice shelter for the money.
