Has anybody used a 2.5” stove pipe in a 3” stove jack opening and had issues?

I’ve got a circular to slight oval shaped hole cut in my stove jack that was originally cut for a 3” pipe. Looking to use a stove with a 2.5” pipe and wondering if I’m gonna have issues with the extra void space. Yes, I’m now aware I should’ve cut and X instead of the hole. Lesson learned. Lol

Not sure if you want to try, but winnerwell has a 2.5 double wide pipe that would make it 4 inches I think but give a little more heat protection. Can cut it bigger then. Just an idea.
