My wife got a new phone and I still use a flip phone. My question is , Can I use her old phone, Iphone 6, for my Gps without having cellular service? I have a onx subscription for updating my chip and using Onx on the computer.
Thanks,

I would think you should be able too as long as the GPS is functional. It would basically be like an iPod touch. I have the 6s and it works fine. You'll need to offload the map sections you want though when you're connected to a router. Then just make sure it's on airplane mode when you're in the back country and the GPS should work great with your offloaded maps.

Yes you can . Like said you will need to download the maps you will be needing while online at home. You will need to download sections at a time the smaller the section the clearer it will be. I believe you can download 5 mile, 10 mile or 100 mile sections of map at a time. I prefer the 5 and 10 mile sections of maps to download.
