I have a PH2 in 6.5 PRC. Only about 50 rounds through it, but I am getting a hair over 1/2" @ 100 yards with factory 143 ELD-X and 147 ELD-M. I expect sub half-inch with handloads.

Hey Gypsy, was the replacement a PH1 or PH2?

I have one in 300 WM, wouldn’t recommend one in that chambering. First one was a lemon and warrantied, second one hasn’t won me over yet but is doing a bit better. There are a number of others with less than satisfied experiences with 300 WM on the Havak thread on snipershide too.

So a slightly different trigger and stock materials. I bought mine from Cabela’s when the Cabela’s edition PH1s were gray. The replacement had a gray stock too which might be my original stock, who knows.

@ kukusya, which ammo brand are you using in 168? HSM?

In general, does anyone know if the barrels are cut or button? I have read they are 5R RCB tubes but sources arent solid.

My set up rifle/muzzle brake/Seekins 34mm low scope ring/Bushnell Elite DMR 3.5-21x50 weight 10lb 3 oz on baby scale
Roughly rifle weight 7lb naked.

I have a 300 win and a 6.5 PRC in the havak ph2. Both are sub .5 MOA guns. 300 win shoots H-1000 and 215 Berger’s. 6.5 PRC shoots H-1000 and 156 Berger’s. Great rifles and now straight jacket armory is doing prefits with tons of caliber choices. Tons of mag room to seat bullets. Good triggers. Both rifles weigh right what seekins says. I can’t think of what is not to love.
