Solo hunting in Oregon for Roosevelt elk. Starting Saturday, 9/15, will be back country hunting with a partner in Idaho.

I enjoy hunting with someone, but only if they make a decent partner. Otherwise, I'd rather go alone.

I enjoy hunting with a partner (usually my brother), but this year, I am heading out by myself. Looking forward to it....only a couple more weeks!

I like hunting with a partner, but this year I hunted solo except for the one weekend that my son was able to join me. It seems like it's hard to find a partner with the same level of commitment and dedication. When I hunt alone, I can stay out in the field as long as I want during the day and for as many days as I would like. I'm usually out from before sunrise until after sunset. I haven't yet taken an elk from my tent or truck.
