Well, I finally solved it: the best way to dry a water bladder.

Have tried many methods over the years:
Hanging up
Hanging in front of a dehumidifier
Filling with paper towel
Propping open with coat hanger
Air compressor

All of the above were “successful” in the water bladders eventually dried. Some took many days/weeks to finally get there. Generally a PITA.

None worked as well as the latest experiment: boot dryer with glove attachment. Done, completely dry in less than a day.

Hmm. Been using isopropyl alcohol to dry my bladders for a long time. No problem.

Whatever works!

I wash my bladder and then just turn it inside out to dry. I store over the year inside out. Never a problem.

I throw mine in the freezer and forget about it until I need it again. Easiest way I have found to deal with them.

I detach the hose and clean both the inside and outside, then clean the bladder. After that, bend the hose into a U-shape and shove the U into the bladder (the hose keeps the bladder sides from sucking together), then hang it upside down with a spring clip. This allows both the bladder and hose to drip/dry.

Looks like a great idea, but i’d have to buy a boot dryer. Clothes hanger has always worked fine for me.
