I have reloaded for a little over 20 years the first 15 of those with a single stage hornady. I would recommend a single stage for hunting ammo you get to check everything after each step. I also agree that reloading is time consuming but I love getting up early and working in the reloading room for a while before work begins. What I like the most about reloading is I have components for multiple calibers for example 150 to 180 grain .30 cal bullets feed three different rifles in my safe. There is a lot of flexibility that is gained in rolling your own. As others have mentioned loading cartridges down for pleasant practice or introducing new shooters is a great asset. Loading handgun rounds with cheap lead bullets allows very cheap practice. For example 1,000 rounds of .44 magnum can be loaded for $77 for bullets. $100 for primers around $20 for powder. Is under $200 for a thousand rounds of great practice ammo I can pay for some equipment pretty quickly with those numbers.
