South Dakota Covid Return Tags

Well, anyone get tags off the returned list? I got an antelope tag previously and my wife and I both got pretty nice Any Deer tags now. Took a lot of effort but we finally got through.

I know some of you have been trying.

Didn’t know that was an option. I don’t have time this year. Have AZ elk in a couple weeks and headed the wrong direction this weekend.

Ya, they sent an email about it awhile ago. The issue was giving people an option to return tags and get points back if they didn't feel comfortable hunting this year. Side effect was they had deer and antelope in a lottery. Elk went to first person in the draw, whatever that means.

We drew no deer tags this year in WY or SD so this has been a huge surprise for us. Not to mention the tags are for the unit we have been hunting. Should be fun. Taking the 13yo on his first deer hunt as well!
