Last year I read an article about some researchers from University of Mexico that solved the spherical aberration issue with optical glass. See attached link for the article. I figured the optics manufacturers would get all over this development and start putting out fantastic and inexpensive glass. At this point I have not heard anything about this new technology.
Anyone have any information on this subject? Are there any mid range products being made with this new lens?
