Hi first post but have been searching the info on the page about muzzle brakes for the last few weeks.
Have a Tikka t3 with a sporter barrel and my gun smith said that it had to be cut for 1/2 x 28. Been running into some problems finding a 30 cal brake that matches that specification and have been considering either an apa gen 1 micro bastard or if going with a thread converter to 5/8 x24. I've looked at the precisionrifleblog and thought i made a choice until i found out about the thread pattern. Not sure if the converter is the better rout or not since it opens up the options for compatible brakes.

This has been discussed several times, try the search function. My T3 300WM is threaded 9/16 for the Muzzle Breaks & More 4 port.
