Alright folks, having trouble with my sight..

I am having an issue with my sight bottoming out at 80 yards, and having my fletching hitting the sight housing at the 75 yard mark. I moved the housing to the top of the allowable adjustments and am still having the issue. My arrows aren’t too heavy, and my bow shoots decently fast…trying to figure out what is going on and am looking for advice. Specs below with some attached pictures.

pics are with sight tape set at 70

Prime Logic ct5 70# @ 28.5” draw
Easton Axis arrows - 413 grains (chrono at 285)

Considering your peep height is right around 5” it’s no wonder you’re bottoming out. For your draw length an average peep height should be about 5.5-5.75” in height. I’m assuming you anchor very high on your cheek which would cause your issues.

You can also slide the dovetail closer to the riser and change out the MRT ring for the smaller one, that should easily add another 15-20 yards. I agree with OR archer though, sliding your peep up will do a lot of good too.

Would you say if I raise my peep and resight from 20-60, you think it would for sure fix it?

Possibly a dumb question but if I move my dovetail closer to me will I have to resight my bow? This is my first year with a slider. Thanks.

If you move your peep, just go and shoot at 20. Move sight housing so your sighted in at 20 and the rest of the pins should be spot on from before.

UPDATE: Removed giant ass sight ring and replaced it with smaller one. Allowed me to adjust out to 95 for bottom pin. Lord knows I’d never shoot that far but it’s nice having it to mess around with. Thanks guys. Simple fix that I should have noticed but we all have our moments right?

It looks like your sight housing is mounted pretty high, if I remember right mine is 2 or 3 holes from the bottom. Yours appears to be 6 or 7. I never bottom out, I run out of room at about 97 and that's when I risk my fletchings start hitting not when my sight bottoms out
