Alright, considering upgrading my current spotter for something better and wondering if it will be worth it. Currently have Leupold Gold Ring 12-40x60HD. It’s served its purpose just fine for Colorado deer and elk and I’ve turned up lots of critters with it. But this year I have a sheep tag in my pocket and several times that I’ve been out scouting I’ve wondered if I’m missing sheep do to the quality of the spotter. Willing to spend about 2k but wondering if the upgrade is worth it from the gold ring? This years it’s been pretty Smokey and wondering if a better spotter would help when glassing way out there. Been looking at a Swaro STS 65HD

I am not sure a better spotter is going to help you look through smoke or heat waves... i think the better spotter will help you determine what is legal and count the rings. Probably better off with great binos 10x42 to find the sheep. Lower power vs spotter probably be better in those situation.
