I dont know about you folks but I personally feel like a weekend at home doing yardwork is a waste of time ;)

Figured might as well get out and try and put some more meat in the freezers!

February we went to Hawaii and fished for Aku (skipjack tuna). Didn't bring any home but ate lots while were there.

Then we hit a clam tide on a Washington beach.

Next we went out of Westport, WA for some lingcod and black bass. Definitely brought home good sacks of meat!

This last weekend we fished in Eastern Wa for some Walleye. Damn tasty fish!

Back for more lake fishing this weekend (memorial weekend) and then we have another deep sea lingcod trip in June 15th. Its always nice to have some variety in the kitchen!

Nice. I'll be hitting central CA for hogs over Memorial weekend. No radiation in bacon yet. LOL

Looks awesome! I wish I had some ocean fish to help diversify the freezer.

It really is great and something I have started taking advantage of in the last 3 years. I used to salmon fish with my dad a TON when I was younger, but pretty much stuck to lake fishing through my teenage/20's. Now that my wife and I eat only meat we procure, the ROI on ocean fishing to lake fishing isn't even comparable, lol. 1 lingcod is more meat that 2 days worth of walleye.

This all sounds great as long as the swells arent too bad and I am not chumming instead of fishing!

Haha, yeah I have heard that too. Nobody seems to listen though and ends up puking in the cabin...

Captain was worried about the Head and the galley area.
Thats right he had a microwave and snacks on board!
Gives a whole new meaning to Chili smothered dogs...
At least the chili would be warm.
Yummy!!

Ah this makes me wish there was a fishing forum here!! This was one day of a week long trip last summer at my in-law's place in the keys. Headed back down the first week of august.

I’m a charter boat captain. My morning orientation/safety speech ends with “2 things not allowed inside the cabin, smoking and puking!”
Nice catches, lingcod is about as fine eating fish as you can get. Especially those 25-26” ones in that tote. Razors are just as tasty! Got my fill of them the last few days

Oh I bet you have some good stories!

Ling is delicious and my favorite fish to catch. They are so gnarly looking. Black bass is my favorite for eating. Razor clams have been crazy good on the WA/OR coasts this year. Super late digs!

Made another trip Walleye fishing for memorial weekend.

Ended up with a couple on Saturday

Sunday was a little rough in the AM, after a late start we only fished a couple hours before the weather blew us off.

Brock A,

Nice Eyes if you need some help figuring out the Big C hit me up. I fish it usually once a week and we are headed into the best bite of the year.

Man, I haven’t had fresh tuna or dorado in a long time, and really do miss it, but we sometimes do a little fishing/freezer filling here as well. Although, we haven’t been out this year yet.
