Been meaning to join for years. I grew up in PA hunting and fishing with my dad and grandfather. Those memories are priceless and look forward to sharing them with my 7 year old. I moved to CO in 1994 and settled in the Vail Valley. Early years were spent teaching skiing and in 1998 started a contracting business which still occupies my time to this day. I started hunting elk and deer in the area as soon as i got out here and continue to do so to this day. However, I would have to say my true passion is chasing pheasant and quail with my German Shorthairs throughout fall and winter mixed in with a little waterfowl.

Welcome aboard SRE. Being a South Dakota native I love shooting some pheasant also. With a 7 year old you should have many years ahead of outdoor enjoyment.. Stay safe at this time and enjoy this forum
