State with the heaviest Rocky Mountain cows

The ones that run in front of my truck every night in Idaho are pretty big and hefty, we took 1 a few years ago that was bigger then my mature 5x5.

They're around for sure, Idaho has good OTC general tags that include cows for specific units and days.

It is possible to find a fatty. For reference, that is a 3/4 ton truck with a 6.5 foot bed.

For sure there are, these two(one bagged medium cow in there) and the big gutted one. Same unit as my last failed cow hunt.

pretty dependent on areas. Get some ag fed flat land elk and I am sure they will be heavier

Would love to hunt a Ca Rosie but the draw odds are ridiculous, sitting on 10 points and not enough luck to draw. Pulled a couple fat ones out of Idaho and took my daughter last year to AZ. Seemed the AZ cows were taller but not as much meat.
