Just thought I would share a method I used to stay focused on each shot during serious practice. It's really simple but maybe it will help someone.
Basically what I do is shoot an arrow, and if I felt like I was focused, and followed through with my shot cycle with good form, AND got reasonably close to where I was aiming, ( which changes with whatever standard we are holding ourselves to currently) then and only then will i shoot another arrow. Otherwise I will walk to the target gather how ever many arrows I made it to before I lost focus, get back into the zone and start over.
Sometimes I just like going into the woods and launching arrows at stumps 100 yards away or whatever but when I'm just working on getting better I will do this or just shoot one arrow at a time that way each shot matters.
